The founders spent 20 years inside the buildings that demand the most. Critical care wards where 1 ppm of contamination is one too many. Classrooms where 40 children breathe the same air for 6 hours. Factory floors where ventilation is a regulation, not a comfort.

They saw a pattern Indian homes had never measured. The same problems, the same particles, the same CO₂ build-up, present in every sealed apartment and every glass-fronted office. The hardware that could solve it existed. The product an ordinary building could afford did not.

Frequently asked questions

What is an ERV and how is it different from an air conditioner?

An Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) brings filtered fresh outdoor air in and pushes stale indoor air out, exchanging heat and humidity through a recovery core. An air conditioner only recirculates and cools the same indoor air. It does not remove CO₂, VOCs or bioaerosols. Cooling without ventilation concentrates those contaminants; an ERV removes them.

Do I need ventilation if my home is open-plan or has windows?

Yes. Open layouts move air sideways but do not exchange it, so CO₂ and off-gassing still accumulate. Opening windows in most Indian cities swaps indoor CO₂ for outdoor PM2.5 that is 6–10× the WHO safe range. Mechanical ventilation with HEPA filtration delivers fresh air without that trade-off.

What airflow (CMH) do I need for my space?

As a rule of thumb, target roughly 30 m³/hour of fresh air per person, adjusted for room volume and use. Ventara sizes every system to the actual square footage, occupancy and building type. Are Ventara systems built for Indian conditions?

Every product is spec’d for Indian dust load, monsoon humidity and voltage fluctuation, with G4 + F7 + HEPA H13 multi-stage filtration and EC motors that tolerate real-grid conditions, not lab conditions.

Do you install, or is it self-install?

Both. Residential ERVs are available for self-install through the online shop with engineer support, and we have 120+ authorised installers across 25+ cities for full sizing, install and service.

What warranty and service do you offer?

Ventara systems carry a 5-year warranty on the recovery core and 2 years on the motor, with nationwide service and a 5-year filter/accessory service plan.
